I imagined that this particular resolution, thirteen arts and crafts creations, would have been quite a bit
tougher to complete. At least in terms of creativity, time and effort. I was worried about the enormity of the project I am tackling and in my own admitted weakness I looked for something less demanding of my energy in order to get me started. I browsed through my local Salvation Army in search of creative inspiration with affordable materials. I hit the jackpot. With more than 5,000 pieces of puzzling frustration and happiness I quickly mastered the 'enigma intended to test the solvers ingenuity'. (<- I got that from Wikipedia but it was to good to be left out.)

I actually managed to completely restore to whole more than 10 beautiful puzzles representing the world over in just 4 months. But the resolution is not calling for 13 puzzles and qualifying every one these into the category would be cheating myself of its intended purpose; to help inspire me into crafting and creating art projects that I've always wanted to explore.

A few examples: sewing, scrapbooking, drawing and of course more writing.


I decided that only puzzles with a pieces count of 750 or more would count on their own as they take considerable more time and dedication. I also placed a limit of 5 puzzle entries into the category so that I may continue to have the ThirteenSquared drive to delve into some of those other projects I mentioned.
